Temporary event decal

Short-life floor decals for the things that are only true for a weekend: dates, hashtags, session titles, seat and zone markers, sponsor marks, directions to the main stage, ticket-check points. Print what you need, put it down for the event, take it up on the Monday.

Printed on self-adhesive vinyl, cut to your dimensions, in your choice of 3M-40C or 3M-IJ175. Both are opaque white pressure-sensitive print films for smooth, hard surfaces. What you receive is a printed adhesive decal, not a purpose-made floor film with a textured slip-resistant surface.

Temporary here describes how long we expect you to want the graphic, not a special low-tack adhesive. These are ordinary permanent-adhesive print vinyls, and they come up most cleanly when they have been down for a short time on a smooth sealed floor. Left down for months, or applied over paint, unsealed concrete or a poorly finished surface, they can leave residue or lift the finish. If the floor is not yours, whether that is a rented hall, a leased unit or a public building, get the owner's agreement first and test a small piece somewhere out of the way.

A laminate is optional on a genuine one-weekend job and worth adding on anything longer or anywhere the traffic is heavy. It protects the print from scuffing. It does not provide any certified slip resistance.

Apply to smooth, sealed, clean, dry indoor floors. Not carpet, not rough concrete, not asphalt. Contour cut is available if you want shaped decals rather than rectangles.

How to Set Up Your Files Prepare your artwork correctly to help avoid delays and ensure the best possible print quality. General File Preparation Guidelines
  1. Use the product template or file setup guide when one is provided.
  2. Remove all hidden layers, guides, dielines or artwork that is not intended to print.
  3. Submit each project as a single, print-ready PDF. For multi-page files, all pages should be the same size and placed in the correct order.
  4. Make sure the file dimensions and orientation match the product being ordered.
  5. Avoid placing borders too close to the finished edge, as minor movement during trimming may make them appear uneven.
  6. For bleed, follow the margins provided in the product template. Keep important text, logos and design elements safely inside the trim line.
  7. Artwork should be high resolution, set to CMYK and supplied at 300 DPI whenever possible.
  8. Use C0, M0, Y0, K100 for small black text. For larger areas of deep black, use C30, M20, Y20, K100.
  9. Convert all fonts to outlines or ensure they are properly embedded in the PDF.
  10. Review your artwork carefully before uploading. Files are printed using the information provided, and colour may appear differently on screen than it does in print.
White Text on Black Backgrounds Small or thin white text placed over a rich black background may fill in or become difficult to read during printing. For better results, use a minimum font size of 8 pt and avoid extremely thin lettering or lines. File requirements may vary by product. If you are unsure whether your artwork is ready, please contact our team before placing your order. Additional artwork charges may apply if changes are required.
