Anti-slip warning floor decal

Read the name carefully, because the distinction matters: these are decals that warn people about a slip hazard. Caution wet floor, slippery when wet, watch your step, floor may be slippery, or your own wording, printed and cut to the size you need and applied where the hazard actually is rather than on a wall somewhere nearby.

This is a warning decal, not an anti-slip treatment. It does not add grip to the floor, it does not make a wet surface safer to walk on, and it carries no certified slip-resistance or coefficient-of-friction rating of any kind. If what you need is to change how the floor behaves underfoot, that is a rated anti-slip tape, tread or coating, and it is a different product entirely. What we make here is the sign, applied to the floor.

Printed on self-adhesive vinyl in your choice of 3M-40C or 3M-IJ175, both opaque white pressure-sensitive print films for smooth hard surfaces, and cut to your dimensions. As with any safety marking, check your wording and symbols against whatever standard applies to your site before ordering; a printed decal is not an approved safety sign in its own right.

A protective laminate is available and sensible, because a warning that has scuffed unreadable is not doing its job. Gloss, matte and anti-graffiti options all put a clear wearing layer over the print. To repeat the point, since the product name invites the wrong assumption: the laminate protects the ink. It does not make the decal or the floor slip resistant.

Apply to smooth, sealed, clean, dry indoor floors. Not carpet, not rough concrete, not asphalt. Note the practical tension built into this product: the wettest areas are exactly where you most want a warning and exactly where any adhesive vinyl has the shortest life. For a floor that is wet routinely rather than occasionally, a free-standing folding wet-floor sign is the more reliable answer, and a permanent decal is best kept for a spot that is only sometimes hazardous.

Contour cut is available for triangles, diamonds and other standard warning shapes.

How to Set Up Your Files Prepare your artwork correctly to help avoid delays and ensure the best possible print quality. General File Preparation Guidelines
  1. Use the product template or file setup guide when one is provided.
  2. Remove all hidden layers, guides, dielines or artwork that is not intended to print.
  3. Submit each project as a single, print-ready PDF. For multi-page files, all pages should be the same size and placed in the correct order.
  4. Make sure the file dimensions and orientation match the product being ordered.
  5. Avoid placing borders too close to the finished edge, as minor movement during trimming may make them appear uneven.
  6. For bleed, follow the margins provided in the product template. Keep important text, logos and design elements safely inside the trim line.
  7. Artwork should be high resolution, set to CMYK and supplied at 300 DPI whenever possible.
  8. Use C0, M0, Y0, K100 for small black text. For larger areas of deep black, use C30, M20, Y20, K100.
  9. Convert all fonts to outlines or ensure they are properly embedded in the PDF.
  10. Review your artwork carefully before uploading. Files are printed using the information provided, and colour may appear differently on screen than it does in print.
White Text on Black Backgrounds Small or thin white text placed over a rich black background may fill in or become difficult to read during printing. For better results, use a minimum font size of 8 pt and avoid extremely thin lettering or lines. File requirements may vary by product. If you are unsure whether your artwork is ready, please contact our team before placing your order. Additional artwork charges may apply if changes are required.
